You can turn your self-published book into a full-time well-paying career that gives you fame, celebrity, wealth and a satisfying future that you’ve only dreamed about. It will work for any self-published book, fiction or non-fiction, and you can start right away. Your first task is to… realize that the potential for your self-published book is larger than just the book sales most authors think about. You want to become a marketing machine who creates and exploits as many opportunities as possible.
So let’s get started by giving you a list of income sources you can exploit right away. First and most obvious is the self-published book itself. Approach local bookstores and tell managers of your media campaign designed to move that book off the shelf. You’ll be stressing radio interviews, newspaper reviews, local speeches, your own email list and anything else you can think of.
Right now I should tell you that everyone with whom you work becomes a catalyst, source and foundation for still more activities.
When I work with book-store owners, we do more than just sell the self-published book. I give them all the materials necessary to sell a seminar about the book. Yes, the bookstore gets a piece of the ticket price, but they also get a percentage of the other materials I sell at the seminar. I also provide stores with low-cost flyers that customers could use to go my website and the bookstores become affiliates of mine as well.
Everyone I work with gets a thank you note so they’ll be happy to work with me over and over again.
However I get buyers of my book, I get their mailing address and their email address. That means every few weeks they’ll be getting additional offers of books, manuals, and services that are produced by others, but for which my customer base contains a ready pool of buyers.

Naturally, I progress from additional products to seminars and then to coaching programs. Wherever you go, always be asking yourself how you can help someone increase their profits or achieve their specific goals. If the strategy seems logical to you, it stands a good chance of being logical to others as well.
For example, I approached radio stations with my self-published book and offered them a high percentage of profits if they’d run ads for my product. The ads drove listeners to a specific website that redirected the customers to the radio station’s affiliate page at my website and when the customers bought, the radio station got credit for the sale and the large commission.
The radio station had nothing to lose (ad time that isn’t sold to an advertiser is lost forever) and everything to gain. I’ve seen this strategy work in every media you can name, (including television) but it always works best in secondary markets—smaller media outlets.
If you become an aggressive marketer, you can literally have the lifestyle you’ve always wanted with just a single self-published book, and then that item into a full-time, lucrative career.
