“How
YOU can Create Your Own Ebook in Record Time! --An Expert's Step-by-Step Guide”
“Your Ebook Practically Creates
Itself!!”
Right now, you could be enjoying the profits that come with having a winning ebook on the market. It's the fastest way ever created on this planet to turn your writing into cash. Have some doubts you can do it successfully? Here's the secret. First you complete your book. That's done with the strategies in "How to Write A Book on Anything in 14 Days or Less..." (Sign up at the bottom of this article).
You have your book done. Great. You have the product. Now you need a sales letter to sell the product. Take a look at my own sales letter at
http://www.WriteABookNow.com
for a good template to use.
That sales letter will ask for the order that can be made if the reader clicks on an "order now" link. This link takes the reader to an order page that is hosted by a shopping cart company.
I use http://www.1ShoppingCart.com but there are many out there. This order page collects all the reader's credit card information and shipping information (their email, for sure). And either holds it for you to collect and process later, or it feeds it to your "Gateway" The Gateway is a company that processes your credit card orders in real time and puts the money into your bank account.
Either way, you've got to get merchant accounts for both Visa and Mastercard. American Express is nice, but not necessary.
Now you've got to send your book to the customer electronically.
For that you'll need an ebook compiler. An ebook compiler is a software program on your own computer that takes your Word document (your ebook) and encodes it so it can be sent over the internet.
These compilers can range in price from $29.95 to hundreds of dollars. Do a search through Google for ebook compiler and you'll see what I mean.
Most ebook compilers will add html code to your ebook so it looks almost like a web page when your reader sees it. The ebook will have it's own little, stand alone, Windows program (.exe) attached to it so as soon as it appears on the readers screen, they just click on it and it opens up as an ebook. Neat, eh?
Now, back up a bit. To send your ebook, you'll need to download (send) it once to your shopping cart friends. Then, whenever an order comes in, the shopping cart folks will automatically send the right file (your ebook) to the customer.
When the customer gets it, they can open it or save it on their computer.
Most compilers (that's the ebook software on your computer) will use your customer's own Internet Explorer browser to read the ebook, and they work pretty well as long as your customer isn't likely to print the book. They can do it, but it's a little awkward.
Of course, there's another compiler (which really isn't a compiler but works the same) and that's called putting your ebook into .pdf format. I'm sure there are other software programs that do it, but I'm only familiar with Adobe Acrobat.
The Adobe Acrobat software (it's a bit pricey) will put your ebook into a .pdf format. Don't worry about what that actually is. Just realize it's not like other files. You download that file to your shopping cart and your customer gets the pdf file. Of course, your customer needs the software Adobe Reader on his or her computer to open the .pdf file but Adobe Reader is free. It doesn't cost your reader anything to download it.
They just go to
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
and download it.
Another advantage of the Adobe route is that Internet Explorer and Windows become irrelevant. So all all your MacIntosh customers (and any other non-Windows customers) can buy the book, too!
